Behind the Comic Book

Josh Coen has put his heart and soul into creating and running some of the nation’s most successful blues education programs in Lane County, Oregon. Now heading into its fourth full year, his twice-monthly Blues in the Schools program on behalf of the Rainy Day Blues Society reaches nearly 5,000 kids, grades 3-12, each year. He also founded and runs Oregon’s only Under 21 Blues Jam, giving Blues in the Schools program kids an opportunity to continue their blues education and develop their musical skills and jam etiquette under the tutelage of some of the area’s most experienced blues musicians.
